This is a hand-painted porcelain creamer and saucer from the Nippon era of Japanese ceramics. The term "Nippon" was used on porcelain exported from Japan between 1891 and 1921. The creamer features a pale green band with a raised, beaded texture known as moriage. It has gold trim and hand-painted floral motifs. The piece is accompanied by a matching saucer. Nippon porcelain was a popular export to the United States during this period.
