This jar is LARGE - almost 10" tall - and holds two quarts. The base was designed and patented by Heisey Glass as pattern 433 GREEK KEY. It was sold with interchangeable lids. But this item has the "hollow" lid which adds height to the interior of the container and was designed to allow for a long handled spoon to remain in the jar for easy access while still maximizing how much fruit it could hold.
